White Cliff Market, July 28, 1953 Around 1930, O.B. Skidmore opened this grocery store at 1828 Tongass Avenue under his own name. It became the White Cliff Market in 1940 and operated through 1956. A vacant lot and His & Hairz now occupy the site. In the distance, Austin Tower can be seen under construction. |
