Bottom work at Northern Machine Works, 1955 Several new bottom planks have been installed on this fishing boat. Shipyard workers are caulking the seams and paying (sealing) them with cement. Note the caulking mallet on the arm of the man in the foreground. The man with the caulking hammer is Murdow McDonald. 09/23/2021: During an oral history interview with Otto Johansen on 09/22/2021, he identified three of the four men in this image.
