Junior Prom, May 14, 1954 Ketchikan Daily News photo caption, 5/15/1954 (photo similar to 2003.2.63.883) "Junior Prom Last Night Gala Affair A group of students enjoy intermission time with a painting of Deer mountain in the background at the Junior Prom given in honor of the graduating seniors last night. "Moonlight and Roses" was the theme of the dance with the gym decorated in a woodland scene complete with a rustic bridge and wishing pool and completely covered with salal leaves. People Identified: Left side of photo, young man sitting down with his body in profile to the camera is Chuck Nelson. Sitting in the back just behind Chuck's back is Penny Simonson and Don Maddox. Harold Dill is on the left side of the photo wearing a dark suit with his hands extended behind him and his chair up on two leggs. The young girl to the furthest right is Janice Dill." |
