Thomas Basin and Sawmill viewed from above Indian Town Another view of the ball field, at high tide In this photo, the ball field bleachers are clearly visible at left center. They accommodated only a small percentage of the crowd that typically attended baseball games. Most of the fans watched from the sidelines, Mission and Stedman Streets, the lumber storage yard, and from the windows and rooftops of surrounding buildings. Note the Chief Johnson totem pole, in line with the bleachers |
