Description |
Wood marking gauge. Consists of two wooden stems through a wooden stock (or center piece). Two thumscrews allow the stocks to be adjustable individually or together. Ruler numbers on stems allow for accurate measurements. According to George "Skip" Thompson, this device may also a "spialing gauge." Spelling may not be accurate. |

Found in a large tool chest with various other shipwright tools. The collection belonged to Grace Moore's husband (unknown name?). It is believed he was a shipwright in the early part of the 20th Century. |
