Coupling for water main Section of the original water main which came from Monroe Street between 2nd and 4th. Wooden water pipe coupling used by Ketchikan City Water Department. It was made from Fir, (usually Cypress) Coated with tar impregnated burlap, which was wound with wire to keep the sections joined. This coupling was used to hold two ends of the tapered pipe together. |
