Description |
Wood and metal molding plane. The blade, or iron, is secured in the body of the plane with a wooden wedge. At the bottom is a semi-circular rounded groove 0.75" wide. Used to cut decorative or complex shapes into wood. |
Provenance |
Found in a large tool chest with various other shipwright tools. The collection belonged to Grace Moore's husband (unknown name?). It is believed he was a shipwright in the early part of the 20th Century. |
