Description |
Bowling ball bag for bowling ball (2005.2.51.2). The bag is made of black and white vinyl with a handle on either side of the zipper. The black is located on the two large sides with the handles and on the bottom and on the zipper edge. The white is located along the curved edge of the bag which extends from near the base, along the top, and back to the opposite base. One of the handles is broken and at some time was repaired with black cotton rope and electrical tape. On one side of the bag there is a triangular patch sewn on with the monogram "Amf" (corresponds with the logo on the manufacturer's tag inside the bag). The silver lettering is partially worn off and the text looks more like "Rmf." A manufacturer's tag inside the bag is white with red and black text. The text reads, "BOWL WHERE YOU SEE THE 'MAGIC TRIANGLE'/ TRADEMARK/ AMF PINSPOTTERS INC." In the middle of the tag is a red triangle pointed down with the logo for "Amf." Internally there is a Masonite board in the base of the bag. A round metal frame sits on the Masonite board and is used to support the bowling ball. |
