Description |
Ketchikan Yacht Club burgee. A burgee is a specific kind of pennant that identifies a recreational boating organization. A burgee can come in a variety of shapes. This one is a typical tapered triangular shaped pennant that is wider at the hoist than at the fly. The pennant is a single layer of all-weather nylon finished with tan canvas heading and brass grommets that is durable enough to withstand outdoor conditions. On the left side is the iconic Ketchikan Rainbird in green and orange set against a white background. On the right side is a red "K" set against a red and blue background. The two sections are lock stitched together, along with details for the Rainbird and around the "K" for added durability. The manufacturer's tag is sewn to the heading and it reads, "Worldflags/ PO BOX 88328, HONG KONG/ GLOBALITE Nylon." Below that is a "MADE IN HONG KONG" sticker |
