Description |
Swimwear for men. Made of dark blue wool with white stripes at the bottom hem. Essentially a long tank top with shorts under the skirt. The strap on the left sholder has a button closure, allowing the person wearing the costume access to get into and out of it. Manufactured by the company, "Sportcraft" (collar tag). |
Provenance |
The swimwear is believed to have belonged to Captain Walter Dibrell. He and his wife came to Ketchikan in 1904. He was the head of the Lighthouse Service, and later Commander of the U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska. |
